A server is a hardware device or software that processes requests sent over a network and replies to them. A client is the device that submits a request and waits for a response from the server. The computer system that accepts requests for online files and transmits those files to the client is referred to as a “server” in the context of the Internet.
Server is a computer that provides information to other computers called "clients" on computer network. This architecture
is called the client–server model. Servers can provide various functionalities, often called "services", such as sharing
data or resources among multiple clients or performing computations for a client. A single server can serve multiple clients,
and a single client can use multiple servers. A client process may run on the same device or may connect over a network to a
server on a different device. Typical servers are database servers, file servers, mail servers, print servers, web servers,
game servers, and application servers.
You are able to share resources and equipment such as Internet access, printers, and fax machines. A Server also provides one
central place to store business information, meaning you can better manage business-critical information. It's easier for
staff to find, access, and share information and schedules.
